We were very busy dyeing our spun wool using natural dyes. Walnut skins and lichen gathered from the large rocks in the goldfield area of Victoria were probably the most enduring colours.
Mum was very prolific in her spinning, dyeing, crocheting, knitting and weaving.
She spun, dyed and crocheted the curtains for the large floor to ceiling windows
in her sunroom - eight sheep's worth!
